Server Rules

Ritual RP Ruleset — read carefully before applying. This ruleset is subject to change. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.

1General Rules

  1. Be Respectful — Treat all players and staff with respect. Harassment, hate speech, racism, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
  2. No Discrimination — Discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality is strictly prohibited both in-character and out-of-character.
  3. Follow Staff Instructions — Staff decisions are final. If you disagree with a ruling, submit a ticket through Discord. Arguing with staff in-game may result in additional punishment.
  4. 18+ Community — You must be 18 years or older to play on Ritual RP. No exceptions.
  5. No Advertising — Do not advertise other servers, communities, or services in-game, in Discord, or on any Ritual RP platform.
  6. One Account Per Player — Each player is limited to one account. Multi-accounting will result in a permanent ban.

2Roleplay Standards

  1. Stay In Character — Always remain in character while in-game. Use /ooc or the designated OOC channels for out-of-character communication.
  2. Value Your Life — You must roleplay valuing your character's life. Do not act recklessly or run into gunfire. Fear roleplay is mandatory.
  3. No Powergaming — Do not force roleplay outcomes on other players without giving them a fair chance to respond. You cannot dictate another player's actions.
  4. No Fail RP — Do not perform actions that are unrealistic or impossible in real life. Use common sense and act as your character would in the given situation.
  5. Character Development — Create a believable backstory and develop your character over time. Random deathmatch (RDM) is strictly prohibited.
  6. Serious RP Only — Ritual RP is a serious roleplay server. Memes, troll characters, and joke RP will not be tolerated.
  7. Scenario Initiation — All interactions and scenarios must have a valid RP reason. Random interactions without purpose are discouraged.

3Communication

  1. No Metagaming in Voice — Do not use out-of-character information in roleplay. Information gained from Discord, streams, or OOC chat cannot be used in-game.
  2. Radio Etiquette — Use realistic radio communication. Keep radio chatter concise and relevant to your department or organization.
  3. Phone Use — Use the in-game phone for communication when appropriate. Do not break immersion by using external apps for in-game coordination.
  4. Respect OOC Boundaries — If someone asks you to stop something OOC, respect their boundaries immediately.

4Vehicles & Driving

  1. Realistic Driving — Drive as you would in real life. Intentional ramming, unrealistic stunts, or using vehicles as weapons is prohibited.
  2. No Vehicle Deathmatch — Running over players intentionally (VDM) is strictly prohibited and will result in a ban.
  3. Respect Vehicle Class — Drive vehicles appropriate to your character's background and financial situation. A homeless character should not be driving a supercar.
  4. Chase Etiquette — During police chases, both sides must maintain realistic driving. No exploiting physics or driving on impossible terrain.

5Crime & Violence

  1. Valid RP Reason — All criminal activity must have a valid roleplay reason. Random robberies or assaults without RP buildup are prohibited.
  2. Hostage Rules — Hostage situations require proper setup and negotiation. You cannot execute hostages without a valid RP reason. Always give law enforcement a chance to respond.
  3. Robbery Limits — Follow server-defined limits on how often you can rob the same player or location. Check the Discord for current cooldown timers.
  4. No Cop Baiting — Do not commit crimes solely to initiate a chase with law enforcement. Criminal RP must have purpose and buildup.
  5. Safe Zones — Certain areas may be designated as safe zones where criminal activity is not allowed. Check Discord for the current list.

6Metagaming & Exploits

  1. No Metagaming — Using out-of-character information (Discord, streams, maps, etc.) to gain an in-game advantage is strictly prohibited.
  2. No Stream Sniping — Watching another player's stream to gain information about their location or actions is not allowed.
  3. No Exploiting — Exploiting bugs, glitches, or exploits will result in an immediate ban. If you find a bug, report it to staff immediately.
  4. No Modding — Using third-party mods, cheats, or external tools to gain an advantage is prohibited. This includes visual mods, speed hacks, and aimbots.
  5. No Combat Logging — Disconnecting during an active RP scenario to avoid consequences will result in severe punishment.

7Staff & Moderation

  1. Staff Authority — Staff members have the final say in all matters. Disrespecting or arguing with staff will result in additional punishment.
  2. Ticket System — Use the Discord ticket system for reports, appeals, and support. Do not DM staff members directly for server issues.
  3. Report Violations — If you witness a rule violation, report it through the proper channels with evidence. Do not take matters into your own hands.
  4. No False Reports — Filing false or malicious reports against other players will result in punishment.
  5. Punishment Appeals — If you believe you were punished unfairly, submit an appeal through Discord. Do not argue punishments in-game or in public channels.

These rules are subject to change at any time. Staff reserves the right to punish players for behavior not explicitly listed here if it negatively affects the community. When in doubt, ask a staff member.
